»Barbershop« – a dynamic version of a cappella music – has been growing in Germany for over 30 years. Every two years, the internationally acclaimed »Barbershop Music Festival« is organised and celebrates the »Joy of Music« over the course of three days, with more than 5,000 spectators and almost 1,000 participants, serving also as a meeting place for the barbershop community. In the dynamic key visual, which was developed in line with the slogan »Pure A Cappella - Pure Power«, the four voice types and the seamless harmony of the barbershop vocals are made visible in an innovative way. All applications of the logo – from posters, flyers, and banners to on-stage and video overlays – show different versions of the key visual, illustrating the dynamics and power of the voices and pieces presented. The Barbershop Music Festival 2018 took place from April 6 to 8, 2018 in the Philharmonie in the Gasteig, Munich, and was also the first World Mixed championship for barbershop choirs of this category.
